People often wonder what meditation is? “You sit down cross legged, close your eyes and...” then what? Meditation is an exercise of increasing one's awareness by becoming in-partnership with the mind. Mind is a flow of thought as the river is a flow of water. If thought is clear, the river is clear. If the water is dirty, muddy or polluted, the river is polluted. By improving thinking, one will improve the mind. Improvement of the mind is improvement of man. As the thought, so the individual.

Meditations

I utilize many different forms of meditation from chanting mantras, to remaining in deep silence, to honing perceptions to becoming conscious of actually creating thoughts, to projecting energy to becoming conscious of the vibrations within the body as well as out and how to be in partnership with them.

The first step is quieting the mind of the uncontrollable chatter constantly bombarding it. Next we become in active partnership with the mind and then focus on a particular awareness of perception to cultivate and expand into an over-all state of consciousness. Once able to easily be in meditation and consciously guide the energies through the body, we open up to meditations helping to sustain a continuous mindfulness throughout the day.

Eastern thought says meditation cannot occur until the mind is tamed and in partnership with it. Only when this occurs can meditation actually begin.

Once one enters a state of meditation the mind becomes one-pointed and all commotion dissolves.

It's of the most importance in meditation however to remember that you are always in a constant state of arriving. The doing-ness is the destination.
